again sorry for taking like two months but here we goooooo:

i scripted in a second palisman 🧍 she's a highland calf and her name is puppy. she's the size of a golden retriver and turns into a jetpack instead of a staff and she is the light of my life.

i'm potions track! my bile sack is small because i'm half-human so i picked a track that i thought wouldn't need a lot of spellcasting. i was wrong by the way! i got proficient at fire magic VERY quick because i very much needed to.

boscha used to call me half-a-witch (with love) because i literally am. half-witch. partially why i chose the name hale. rolls off the tongue. half-a-witch hale.

i'm a flyer derby sub. for willow. i'm not really a speed guy though. so. 💀 this is why i'm a sub and not a player

The Boiling Isles - DR Description

Beneath the shadow of a god’s enduring frame, past the simmering echoes of wars etched in the boiling sea, lied magic—tenacious and untamed. From the titan’s vast remains arose witches and demons, their power coursing through marrow and memory. It hums in the air, a vibration felt in the teeth and the heart, as if the titan’s pulse still beats faintly within you.

Once a free-flowing force, magic was deeply intertwined with the land and its people. However, under the shadow of the Emperor’s Coven, magic is now cataloged, branded, and weaponized. Cultural practices were bent into profitable professions, or lost entirely. Yet in secret, whispers of rebellion bloom like weeds in cracks of stone. Resistance takes root in hidden enclaves, where wild witches weave spells of defiance, piecing together fragments of lost rituals. Their magic, raw and unfiltered, pulses with the memory of what was stolen: the freedom to be whole, to exist beyond the Emperor’s lines and labels.

And so, on the catalystic night of the petrification, the Palisman Carver and the Head of the Emperor’s Coven fled.

The girl paused for a moment at the edge of the Palace’s shadow, her gaze lingering on the place that had shaped her—and nearly destroyed her. The place that convinced her she was special. She whispered a promise (a prayer?) to the winds, a vow to make amends for what she had done. Then she turned and followed her aunt into the unknown, leaving behind a life built on lies to seek a truth she barely understood.

I just know Raine’s palisman has such a nerdy, dumb name. If Raine is naming their first rebellion the BATs, and their second one the CATs, both of which are heavily themed, you bet your ass this silly little fox has the stupidest pun for a name.

I bet they named it Trot. Short for Foxtrot. I’m melting this into my canon and it can be pried out of my cold, dead hands.

still thinking about how toh had the perfect villain with sympathetic origins and complex motives AND a compelling intimidating personality, but decided to ditch him last minute for a less complex, less interesting villain who was redeemed within one episode.

Shadow Puppets - One year Anniversary

I haven't posted in a while because reasons, but the Shadow Puppets RP hit it's one year anniversary so I thought I'd draw something for it.

So what's Gus up to in your AU cause it's really funny to me to imagine that he hasn't joined the main crew (Hunter, Luz and Amity) yet but Willow has so all he knows about the them and the castle is like general gossip and what willow tells him. like she tells him stuff like yeah a basilisk was on the verge of dying but Luz's Mum saved them or Amity set her memories on fire. So he's just sitting their like what???

AGES ago i think we were talking about gus, once he gets out of high school, opting to be a wild witch instead of joining a coven. which is MUCH less dangerous/politically precarious than it used to be, given how luz has decriminalized/legalized/protected wild magic. but still considered a kind of weird alt life path. gus being a weird punk who hangs out with eda because she has a ton of human stuff.... Excellent.

what i remember Most vividly was gus repeatedly sneaking in to the castle to catch up with willow & make sure she's not being tortured by terra and/or the empress's coven. and hunter KNOWING that someone is sneaking in, but never being able to catch them, and not knowing WHY they're sneaking in, so he's going Out Of His Fucking Mind thinking there's a conspiracy against luz..... until willow is like "oh, lol!! nah. that's just my buddy gus 💕"

the concept of gus replacing amity as hunter's main nemesis..... so funny. So Good.

idk how i am going to make it work in my toh dr, but i wanna be raine's adopted kid, be mentored by raine and darius, be one of lilith's students and be friends with eda prior to her discovering that i'm actually her missing kid (in a "this kid randomly appeared in my life on a wednesday morning and won't leave" kinda way). and on top of that, also have a bunch of friends.

Gosh, which one! I'll go ahead with my owl house one. I'm pretty neat, I think! My voice claim is Steven, from SU Future. I'm just human, but eventually I get some powers from a titan who died a little younger than the Isles, so I can do magic. I'm Luz's friend from the human realm, and we were having a sleepover the night before she leaves for summer camp. My parents are normally pretty strict, but I convinced em, cause I won't see my bestie for a whole summer.

I don't think there's a whole ton left to describe, I'm pretty similar to myself here, but here's some edits of me and fun facts!

My sweater is a witch's wool cape, but I am. clumsy. so Eda made it a sweater for me.

My palisman is a dandelion lion, and I haven't named him cause I feel like it'll be sweeter to connect and learn his name.

I multitrack asap! Abomination, Bard, Illusion, Healing, and Plant. My bard instrument, initially, is a saxophone but a kazoo is much easier to transport.

I've seen some people say Flapjack only chose Hunter once he defended Luz and let her leave with the palismen(thereby showing he's not a bad guy), but I don't agree with that when we actually see the moment Flapjack decides This boy is their new witch.

Hunter's line here can be read in several ways, either a slip of the tongue he wouldn't have said otherwise, or it is something he has thought about but just never felt safe enough to openly express. I think a whole post can be made exploring Hunter's feelings about the titan having big plans for him, but the important part is that Hunter isn't happy about that. He's not content or reassured having some big destiny planned for him, kind of the opposite to Luz. And expressing those feelings, that desire to figure out and choose his own future outloud is what makes Flapjack choose him.

The situation is an interesting echo of the Hexside kids getting their palismen by stating their wishes outloud. Only Hunter isn't saying this through any wish to bond with a palisman, Flapjack just happened to be there and Hunter's wish to choose his own future matched up with them.

I don't think palismen have a moral compass the way humans or witches do. Their interests begin and end with what their witch wants and what will help them, and not what is ethically right or wrong. The Bat Queen says palismen bond through emotion, with witches who share a likeminded desire. There's nothing about them needing to fit a 'good person' criteria(and personally I think that's more interesting).

I think Flapjack went back with Luz just to say goodbye to the Bat Queen, to tell her they've finally found someone. She has sheltered them for so long, hundreds of years that they've spent together. I wouldn't be surprised if Flapjack is the oldest of every palismen under the Bat Queen's protection. It's like paying respect to her, and sharing the news they've found someone at last, that they know will make her happy.
